Aug. 15: How to retire on a low income

The Main Street Library presents a workshop on Low Income Retirement Planning on Aug. 15 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Offered in partnership with the WoodGreen Community Services Financial Empowerment Program, the workshop provides a general introduction to what it means to retire on a low income in Canada.

Attendees will learn about the income system for low-income retirees in Ontario, how to apply for the different benefit programs (e.g. CPP, OAS, GIS) and how to maximize your retirement income.

It’s a free program. For more information, please visit the branch at 137 Main St. or call 416-393-7700.
