Man, 22, charged for Yorkville homicide
A 22-year-old man has been charged after the shooting death of an 18-year-old man in front of a coffee shop on Yonge Street.
Police were called to the Yonge Street and Asquith Avenue area just after 8 p.m. on April 13, where they found Gabriel Nikov, 18, suffering multiple gunshot wounds outside of a Tim Hortons and Starbucks. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said they were looking for three men.
A few days later, 22-year-old Bradley Cheveldayoff was arrested and charged with second degree murder.
Nikov was the 24th homicide victim in Toronto this year.
