March 31: Conference on cancer stem cells research open to all

First annual conference to be held at U of T

The Genetics Society of the University of Toronto (GSUT) is hosting its first annual conference: Horizons in Cancer Stem Cells Research on March 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. George Campus, 1 King’s College Circle.

The aim of this year’s conference is to shed light on the pioneering work in cancer research done in Toronto, with an emphasis on cancer stem cells. The speakers list includes Dr. Peter Dirks, the discoverer of the first ever brain cancer stem cells, Dr. James Rutka, one of most published pediatric neurosurgeon-oncologists in the world, and much more.

This is a free event open to everyone. Breakfast, lunch and beverages are included.
