Arrest for shooting in Parkwoods
A man has been arrested for a shooting three days earlier near Parkwoods Village Drive and Rayoak Drive in the Parkwoods area.
Police of 32 and 33 Divisions arrested a 20-year-old man on Dec. 15 after an investigation of a shooting on the evening of Dec. 12. No one was injured in the shooting, police say.
A man had reportedly attended an address in the area during the late afternoon and returned during the evening hours in a vehicle with four other people.
The man entered the apartment building at Parkwoods and Rayoak where he obtained a satchel, while two other males from the vehicle walked off in another direction, police say.
The man left the building and approached the two males. He got into a physical altercation with one of them, pulled a firearm from the satchel and fired three shots, police allege.
Police responded to the call of gunfire at 9:47 p.m. and began an investigation.
Mustafa Nantambu, 20, of Toronto, faces seven charges, including discharging a firearm with intent to wound or endanger life, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon.
He was to appear in court on Dec. 16.
