Parkwoods

Sometimes known as Parkwoods-Donalda, owing to nearby Donalda Golfcourse, Parkwoods is a residential neighbourhood in northeastern Toronto. The smaller neighbourhoods of Parkway East and Victoria Park Village are found within Parkwoods, which lies south of the 401, north of Lawrence Avenue, west of Victoria Park Avenue and east of the Don Valley.

The neighbourhood is known to be charmingly rural in feel for a suburban area with winding streets, ravines, Don River tributaries, nature trails and plenty of parkettes. The homes here are mostly Ranch-style post-war bungalows made of stone or brick, along with newer townhouses and high-rise condominiums.

The relatively affordable housing and low crime rate in the area have attracted many immigrants. Visible minorities make up more than 50% of the population here.
