Teens taught to be babysitters
Teens can run their own businesses as babysitters — with the help of the Red Cross Babysitting class offered at S.Walter Stewart branch of the public library in East York.
The one-day course is offered for students 11–15 years old who want to learn how to safely babysit infants and young children.
The course covers diapering, feeding, age-appropriate activities and games, how to handle emergencies, household safety, basic first aid and more.
It runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 16.
The fee is $60 per student and includes all taxes, textbook, card of completion and other materials.
