Why construction of the Forest Hill North Gateway took eight months

Forest Hill Village residents can finally visit Suydam Park again, after the construction hoarding surrounding the new Forest Hill North Gateway was removed in October. The final component, custom pedestrian lights, are to be installed in December, eight months after the hoarding went up in April and five months after the park was originally scheduled to reopen in July.

Construction starting on Forest Hill north gateway project

The Forest Hill Village BIA is giving Sudyam Park a facelift. The 22 Relmar Rd. park, located just north of Lonsdale and Spadina roads, has been cordoned off with temporary fencing since April 20 and work is set to start on the addition of new pathways, planters, pedestrian lighting poles and trees. It will create what the BIA calls the “Forest Hill North Gateway”, a north entrance into Forest Hill Village.
