A chance to say what bugs you about the TTC
North Toronto residents will have an opportunity to voice their opinions to the city’s top three transit officials in a Feb. 25 town hall meeting at Lawrence Park Community Church.
Organized by Ward 25 councillor Jaye Robinson, the event will feature TTC CEO Andy Byford, Metrolinx CEO Bruce McCuaig and Stephen Buckley, the city’s general manager of transportation services, sharing their plans to reduce gridlock and expand the city’s transit network. The transit executives will also field questions from the audience.
Robinson, who says she frequently fields calls from frustrated commuters complaining about having trouble boarding crammed subway cars at Lawrence and Eglinton stations, said she hopes her constituents will be equally vocal with the city’s top three transit officials.
“There’s been a lot of heated debate at city council around this issue,” Robinson said. “As we go into an election period … I want to hear what residents have to say.”
