Arrest made in North Toronto murder
[attach]7699[/attach]A 27-year-old Toronto man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the February shooting death of Peter Nguyen in North Toronto.
Thanh Tung Phan was picked up this morning as Toronto Police conducted several pre-dawn raids connected to the homicide investigation. In addition to the murder charge, he is facing two counts of criminal harassment.
Nguyen, 26, was shot and killed just after 9:20 p.m. on Feb. 4 in front of The Coop Ink on Yonge Street near Deloraine Avenue, a few blocks north of Lawrence Avenue. Police said it was a targeted shooting.
