Camera shots no winner for alleged thief
A Toronto man is facing four charges after police allege he walked into a Leaside store and stole several items on March 14.
Brian Coyler, 39, is charged with two counts each of theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.
In security camera images released by police in mid-April, a man can be seen walking into the Winners store on Laird Drive just before 8 p.m. and then leaving after 8:30 p.m. with a large box.
Police say the man took numerous items, including big-boxed items and children’s clothing, and walked out of the store without paying for them.
Coyler made his first court appearance April 25.
