You could say it’s got that new campaign office smell.

You may see Ward 26 candidate David Sparrow’s Hyundai — or mobile campaign office — driving through Leaside, Bennington Heights, Flemingdon Park, Thorncliffe Park or Wynford, as the president of the Toronto chapter of ACTRA makes his pitch to represent those neighbourhoods as their representative in the new city council term.

“Ward 26 is my campaign office,” Sparrow said when the Town Crier caught up with him in Leaside. “Rather than having people come visit me, we bring the campaign office to them.”

The back of the mobile campaign office is full of lawn signs, buttons, fliers and t-shirts. The sides and top feature a large picture of Sparrow as well as the URL for his campaign website.

I guess everything is mobile these days. At least it allows Mr. Sparrow to be with the people, as opposed to them having to travel to his campaign office. What he needs now is some music like the knife sharpening guy had. :-)

It was a pleasure to meet David Sparrow … right on our street! He’s an impressive man with smart ideas, like his Mobile Campaign Office; He has a real passion to represent the best interests of our Ward in a more proactive way. Sweet ride, Mr. Candidate!
