Cops release videos of retirement home thief
Police have released two security videos, hoping to identify a woman who they say posed as a nurse and stole money from an elderly woman at a midtown retirement home.
The incident occurred in early November at a retirement residence near Eglinton Avenue West and Avenue Road.
Police say the woman was in a resident’s room and took $1,000 before fleeing when the 91-year-old victim found her.
