Man missing in East York now believed dead, another man charged

Two days after reporting a man missing in East York, police have said they now believe the 54-year-old is dead.

This comes after the arrest of another man for interference with a dead body.

On April 15 police issued a news release they were looking for Paul Daly, 54, who was last seen was last seen on April 8 near Woodbine Avenue and O’Connor Drive.

“Police are concerned for his safety,” they said.

Police released his photograph and described Daly as 5-foot-4 and having a slim build and straight brown hair. They asked for anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact them.

Late yesterday police announced their investigation led them to believe the man was deceased, though they were still looking for his remains.

 

Vehicle also sought

Daly’s vehicle, which is also missing, is a 2008 silver Dodge Caravan with Ontario licence plate AYSV 626.

Courtney Michael Tenn, 40, of Toronto has been charged with improper/indecent/interference with a dead body.

He is scheduled to attend court on April 19.
