Police are looking for a woman who they say posed as a nurse to gain entry into a retirement residence before taking $1,000 from a 91-year-old woman’s room.
The suspect entered the Eglinton Avenue West and Avenue Road building Monday just before 2 p.m. while dressed in scrubs. Police say the victim returned to her room to find the suspect there. The woman then fled with $1,000 in cash.
The suspect is described as being in her 30s, and having a thin build and shoulder-length brown hair. She was wearing pink scrubs, a white baseball hat, white shoes and a royal blue lanyard with a white name tag.
