Third man arrested for bank robberies, a fourth still at large
Another man has been arrested on May 2 in the investigation of a series of bank robberies in downtown Toronto and East York.
Two men had been arrested on April 22, but police said then they were seeking another pair of alleged robbers.
Police reported four bank robberies had taken place between April 19 and 22, in which one man went inside the banks and threatened tellers, saying he had a gun, while three others waited outside as lookouts. All four were said to have fled the scenes in a vehicle with cash.
A search by the police holdup squad led to recovery of stolen cash and clothing said to be worn by the men during the robbery. Two men were arrested and charged.
Now the third man arrested, Jesse Pelletier, 37, of no fixed address, faces multiple counts each of robbery with a firearm, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and failing to comply with probation.
The fourth man sought in the bank robbery investigation has been identified as Keith Kellman, 33, of no fixed address. Police say he is wanted for multiple counts each of robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and failing to comply with probation.
He is described as 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds. He is considered dangerous and should not be approached, police say.
