July 26–28: Beaches Jazz Fest on Queen St. E.
This year’s Beaches Jazz Festival StreetFest is set from July 26 to 28 from 6 to 11 p.m. on Queen Street East between Woodbine Avenue and Beech avenues.
StreetFest is a Beaches International Jazz Festival signature event showcasing the finest in Big Band, Swing, Dixieland, Smooth, Afro-Cuban, Fusion, Funk, R&B, Ska and Soul sounds that Toronto has to offer. This season’s event will feature over 45 bands.
A 2.5-km stretch of Queen St. E. will be closed to traffic each night of the event.
This is an annual pilgrimage for tens of thousands of music enthusiasts who flock to the street during the final Festival week, to groove to the music, swing to the sounds and soak in the street scene and ambience.
Performance times are staggered between adjoining bands to maximize listening pleasure.
