Blaze burns Browning's home

No one injured in morning fire at Forest Hill residence of figure skating champ

The Forest Hill home of figure skater Kurt Browning was ablaze this morning as a fire that a neighbour says began in the garage, swept through the mansion.

Over 70 firefighters were called out to battle the flames at the 215 Forest Hill Dr. home.

Less than an hour after the firefighters arrived the blaze spread to the roof just causing them to evacuate the mansion, said Constable Tony Vella.

The fire was finally extinguished by 2 p.m.

According to a neighbour the fire started in the garage, where Browning’s Porsche was kept. It was reported that a leaf blower was being used to clean the car.

Police say that no one was inside the house or injured.
