CISAA champ Kerry Blues off to a tepid start

Last year’s senior boys football champions, the St. Michael’s Kerry Blues, are off to a slow start in CISAA play. Their record stands at 2-1 after a 17-11 victory over the Upper Canada College Blues on Sept. 26.

In their first game of the season, the Blues’ only score was a lone field goal against Trinity College Sept. 16. On Sept. 19, the Blues lost a rematch of last year’s final against the St. Andrew’s Saints 28-13.

Their next game will be at home against Villanova College Oct. 3.

Field hockey season hits the turf

Senior Girls Tier 2 field hockey is underway.

De La Salle Oaklands took their first game of the season over Trinity College 2-0 on Sept. 26. Simona Martella and Silvia Cioci each notched a goal.

Bishop Strachan School tied 1-1 with Branksome Hall in the season opener Sept. 24. Their next game is against fellow Forest Hill school Havergal College on Sept. 29. Results from that game were not known at press time.

De La Salle will face Branksome Hall in its next bout Oct. 6.
