Restaurant celebrates cultural cuisine

Italian eatery Acqua 50 has found a new home in the heart of Eglinton West Village. The family restaurant, which was located in Bolton for the past seven years, opened in March near Eglinton Ave. West and Bathurst St.

Owners Pasquale and Felice Di Petta, along with their mother Maria, decided it was time to inject some city life into their authentic Italian cuisine.

With a combined total of 60 years experience in the food industry, Pasquale said he likes to combine different styles of cuisine to put his spin on the classics.

"We have our own twist — we take a little bit of Canadian, Mediterranean, French and put everything together."

Besides being made fresh to order, Pasquale cooks only with vegetable stock and does not add preservatives to his meals.

Pasquale is always open to making new dishes on the spot and he will take suggestions from patrons, But be warned: you may have a tough time deciding among the delectable dishes already on the menu.
