Arrest made in midtown poppy box thefts

10 boxes stolen in midtown areas

A man is facing 19 charges after police say he stole several poppy boxes in midtown.

Police say the boxes were stolen between Nov. 5 and Nov. 12 from retail establishments near Yonge and Lawrence as well as Yonge and Bloor.

On Nov. 13, police arrested 32-year-old Munir Hudani and charged him with 10 counts of theft under $5,000, and nine counts of failing to comply with probation.
