‘Dangerous’ man sought after Spadina subway stabbing

A man believed armed and dangerous is wanted by Toronto Police after a stabbing at the Spadina Subway Station on Sunday afternoon.

Police have released a photograph of a man in the station. He is described as being 25 to 40, being of average height and build, and having brown shoulder-length hair. He was wearing a camouflage baseball hat, white-and-blue Blue Jays jersey, camouflage shorts, brown shoes, a wristband on his left wrist and a watch on his right wrist.

Officers responded to a call for a stabbing at the station on May 20 at 3:58 p.m.

A 46-year-old man had been attacked from behind with an unknown object while standing in the pedestrian tunnel that connects two subways lines and the perpetrator had fled the station, police report.

Police warn the man being sought is believed to be violent, armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
