Paintings stolen from dead collector

Toronto Police are looking for paintings that were taken from the home of an art collector shortly after he died in October.

Police say the 79-year-old man was an art collector and had several paintings hanging in his home near Bay and Bloor streets. The man went to hospital and died shortly afterward.

In the early morning hours of Oct. 16, several paintings were stolen from the man’s home.

The artwork is considered to have a value of approximately $50,000 and can not be replaced.
