SOUGHT BY POLICE: Michael Winn is wanted in connection with the jewellery store break-in in November.

Toronto police have identified one of three men allegedly involved in stealing $500,000 worth of jewellery from a store near Bay and Bloor streets two months ago.

A photograph of Michael Winn, 51, of Toronto was released by police on Jan. 19. He is wanted on four charges related to the reported break-in at the jewellery store in early morning on Nov. 19.

In December police released security camera images of men robbing the store.

Three men broke into the store through the front door, smashed display cases and escaped with the property, police said. They requested public assistance identifying the men.

Winn is described as 5-foot-11 to six feet, 240 pounds, with receding black hair, brown eyes, and a scar on his forehead.

He is wanted on charges including break-and-enter, mischief over $5,000 and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
