Two arrested in Kingston Road stabbing investigation

Two men, age 19 and 21, have been arrested 10 days after a man was stabbed to death on Kingston Road west of Main Street.

Search warrants were carried out by police on June 4 as part of the investigation into the stabbing at an apartment building.

As a result two men have each been charged with first-degree murder, police say.

Officers responded to a call to 550 Kingston Rd. shortly before midnight on May 25 and found a man on the street suffering from obvious signs of trauma. Homicide investigators said they believed he had been attacked in the building’s stairwell.

The man, identified as 56-year-old William David Long, a resident of the building, was later pronounced dead at hospital.

Tiek Anthony Kydd, 21, and Noah Hurlock, 19, both of Toronto, are to appear in court on June 5.
