Two arrested after shots fired from Annex rooftop
A man has been charged with discharging a firearm recklessly after shots rang out on an Annex rooftop on Saturday.
After the arrest, further investigation led to a woman also being arrested for her alleged involvement with the gun.
Police say the man, armed with a handgun climbed to the rooftop of a commercial building near Bloor Street West and Spadina Avenue on April 6 and fired three shots in an unknown direction.
When officers arrived at 3:22 p.m.in response to reports of gunshots, the man tried to hide the gun in a trash can, according to police.
They recovered a loaded 9mm Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol.
Steve Andrade, 41, of Toronto, is charged with six firearm-related offences including possessing a restricted firearm without a licence and discharging a firearm recklessly.
After further investigation, Dalma Becsei, 48, of Mississauga, was charged with three counts including unsafe storage of a firearm and transferring a firearm without authority.
They were both scheduled to appear in court on April 7.
