THINGS TO DO

Feb. 9–10: Icefest at Yorkville Park

The Bloor-Yorkville BIA is back with Icefest 2019, in which the Village of Yorkville Park on Cumberland Street is transformed into a glittering display of sculptures. This year’s fest is inspired by the Toronto film industry, Hollywood North.

In support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation, guests are invited to participate in this free event.

The annual Sassafraz Ice Carving Competition lets talented carvers transform blocks of ice into original creations. Visitors can explore one-of-a-kind displays, watch live ice-carving demonstrations, and vote for their favourite sculpture.

The Icefest Lounge will feature DJs from Bellosound, an Icefest Photo Booth, mobile charging stations, and plush couches.

Other features include multiple vendors, gift packages, and an on-site scavenger hunt.
