Sept. 25: Violence against women as a tool of control

A seminar on violence against women as a tool of control will be held at the Toronto Reference Library, Beeton Hall at 789 Yonge St. on Sept. 25 from 7  to 8:15 p.m.

This presentation is part of the Equality of Power: Solutions to the unfair treatment of women series.

Lawyer, activist and former Chatelaine legal columnist Linda Silver Dranoff will discuss her own trailblazing journey from a traditional 1950s childhood to the battlegrounds of the courts of law and the halls of power where she and a generation of women lawyers, supporting a larger feminist movement, championed the rights of Canadian women and families.

This is a free event. Check the website for more information or call 416-395-5577.
