COLD CASE: Still from video posted by police about unsolved murder.

Police believe they can solve two 33-year-old murder cases with one name.

Homicide investigators made a plea March 23 for information in the unsolved homicides of Erin Gilmour, 22, who was killed in her Yorkville home, and Susan Tice, 45, who was killed in her home west of the Annex.

Tice was found dead from stab wounds in her home on Grace Street north of Harbord Street on Aug. 17, 1983. Four months later, on Dec. 20, Gilmour was found dead of stab wounds in her Hazelton Avenue residence near Scollard Street.

Police say they have linked the two homicides through DNA evidence and believe they are looking for one man responsible for both murders.

Det. Sgt. Stacy Gallant made a plea for anyone to come forward with the name of who may be responsible during an appeal posted to YouTube.

A $200,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
