Arrest for Graydon Hall hit and run
A man, 54, has been arrested three days after an elderly man was struck and killed by a vehicle in an apartment building garage near Don Mills Road south of Highway 401.
Toronto police reported an 82-year-old was hit before 5 p.m. on Aug. 25 in the underground parking facility at 50 Graydon Hall Dr. and the vehicle involved did not remain at the scene.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police requested assistance identifying the vehicle and its driver in their investigation. Several days later a man was arrested and the vehicle in question was seized, police say.
Paul Veenhop of Toronto was charged on Aug. 28 with leaving an accident scene resulting bodily harm or death.
He was to appear in court the same day.
