High Park is burning
[attach]4041[/attach]City forestry officials had fires set at four locations throughout High Park to help regenerate the natural oak savanna ecosystem. These prescribed burns benefit native plants and animals by removing exotic plants and grasses and returning essential nutrients to the soil.
