Man charged in 2013 Forest Hill bank robbery
A 42-year-old Toronto man is facing two robbery charges — one related to the knocking off of a Forest Hill bank more than two years ago.
Investigating officers arrested the man Jan. 4 in connection with a Dec. 23 bank robbery in Parkdale. Investigators then linked the man to a bank robbery that took place near St. Clair Avenue W. and Bathurst Street on Dec. 2, 2013.
In both cases, police say a man entered a bank and handed a teller a hold-up note, which indicated he was armed and demanded cash. The man fled with a small amount of money in both cases.
Charged is Sean Persad.
