Daily to Jan. 2: Space out at scifi exhibit at reference library
“Spaced Out: 50 Years of the Merril Collection” is the exhibit showcasing some of the strange and wonderful things held by Toronto Public Library’s Merril Collection. It is continuing daily at the Toronto Reference Library until Jan. 2, 2022.
The collection dates back to 1970, when science-fiction writer Judith Merril donated 5,000 books to the Toronto library to found what was at first called the Spaced Out Library.
The exhibit is free at the TD Gallery of the library, 789 Yonge St.
Hours, except for holidays, are Mondays to Fridays 9 a.m.–8:30 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m.– 5 p.m., and Sundays 1:30–5 p.m.
Masks must be worn at all times and there’s an eight-person limit.
