Sharon and Bram launch new song with sing-along at Bay-Bloor

Parents, grandparents and children packed the kids section of the Bay-Bloor Indigo for a chance to hear Sharon Hampson and Bram Morrison’s new single, “The Colour Song.”

The duo — with the remaining members of the children’s entertainment trio, Sharon, Lois and Bram — warmed up the crowd, on Nov. 10 with some of their more popular tunes: “She’ll Be Coming Around the Mountain,” “Peanut Butter and Jelly,” “Grandpa’s Farm,” “Five Little Monkeys” and “Tingalayo.”

While listening from the sprawled out mat on the floor, or from the balconies above, everyone sang and clapped along for “Skinnamarink,” which has additional lyrics provided by Randi Hampson, Sharon’s daughter.

A HIT WITH FAMILIES: Kids and parents clapped and sang along with songs made famous by Sharon, Lois and Bram.

Then they performed “The Colour Song” which was originally written and updated by Randi. Though comedian Colin Mochrie, who performs on the single, was missing, they presented the song which plays on homonyms.

“The Colour Song” is available on Spotify, iTunes and other streaming services.
