Police charge man following bizarre break and enter

Suspect in break and enter
BIZARRE: Police released this photo of a suspect wanted in connection with a break and enter that saw children’s beds disturbed and family photos tampered with.

Police have arrested a 36-year-old man and charged him with break and enter in connection with a bizarre case that led cops to warn of a potential sex offender in the area.

Officers warned on Sept. 30 that a 51-year-old woman had come home the day in the afternoon before to find a man inside her Deer Park house. The man fled the Oriole Parkway home when confronted, police say.

Afterwards she discovered impressions on the children’s beds, cigarette butts in the rooms, and pictures of adults in the house turned face down, while pictures of children were not touched.

The suspect, police said at the time, was wanted for break and enter, but could also be a potential sex offender, police warned.

The family dog’s collar had also been removed and the dog was let out from its crate.

In a news release the following day, police said officers from a division in the west end identified a suspect and arrested him.

Thura Htut is charged with break and enter.

He is also charged with theft under $5,000 in an unrelated case.
