July 29: Walk on the Yorkville musical tour

For anyone interested in the story of how a neighbourhood in Toronto became a musical mecca in the 1960s that drew Canada’s budding musicians (think Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Ian and Sylvia and many others), the Yorkville Musical History Walking Tour is a treat.

The tour led by Dr. Mike Davey meets at the Town Hall Square, 25 Yorkville Ave., on July 29 at 10 a.m.

It covers about two kilometres from Yonge and Yorkville to Avenue and Davenport in 90 to 120 minutes.

The cost is $22.60. Register and get more information online.

Maximum attendance is 15. All participants should be fully vaccinated. Masks are optional.
