Follow the flame
[attach]1111[/attach]The longest Olympic torch relay in history is coming to an intersection near you.
Pape and Cosburn, to be exact.
On Dec. 18 the flame will pass over the Don River just after 7 a.m. and proceed along Danforth Avenue before heading up Pape, arriving at Cosburn around 7:48 a.m., and back across the river.
The torch will spend two days in Toronto, including a celebration at Nathan Phillips Square at 6 p.m. on Dec. 17.
Giving the relay a distinctive Hogtown flavour, the torch will be carried along a streetcar on College Street by retired TTC employee and Olympic gold medalist Murray Dowey. The former goaltender for RCAF Flyers played a key role in helping winning it all at the 1948 St. Moritz games.
