Governor General visits Toronto hockey team

On Nov. 13, his Excellency David Johnston visited Phil White Arena and chatted with Toronto's youth and adult sledge hockey team

The Governor General of Canada, the Honourable David Johnston and Mrs. Sharon Johnston traveled to Toronto on Saturday, November 13, 2010.

His Excellency met with the youth and adult sledge hockey players and representatives from Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation. This organization facilitates partnerships between groups and organizations serving people with disabilities to offer over 15 accessible sports programs across Toronto. He attended one of Toronto’s sledge hockey team’s practices at Phil White Arena located on 443 Arlington Avenue in the St. Paul’s neighbourhood.
