Oct. 14: Discuss Parliament St. rooming house project

A virtual community meeting is planned for Oct. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m. to discuss the project at 502-508 Parliament St.

The City of Toronto, Dixon Hall and Toronto Community Housing are partnering to renovate affordable, rooming house units at those properties. With support from Toronto Centre councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam, the project is receiving $6 million, allowing it to proceed this year and be ready for occupancy in 2021.

The buildings are Second Empire historical row houses built in 1879 and are listed on the city’s heritage registry.

The meeting is to discuss the discuss the project plans and timing and to answer questions.
