Love is in the air and this Valentine’s Day, people can get back out and celebrate their love as they used to before the pandemic with special dinners at restaurants throughout the city.

Spots are filling up but reservations can still be made at many local dining establishments planning something special for Valentine’s Day:

Feb. 14 is one “one of the most important days” for the French-inspired Brownes Bistro at 1251 Yonge St. in Summerhill, owner Jude-Patrick Jacob says.

Besides some special menu items, Brownes will also be decorated on Valentine’s Day to make it special for couples, Jacob says.

Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 416-924-8132.

Local 1794 at 1794 Danforth Ave. in East Danforth is offering a prix fixe Valentine’s Day menu, says bartender Clint Patte.

It will also be creating a romantic atmosphere, complete with love songs. Call 416-463-1794 to make a reservation.

SLATE Restaurant and Bar at 2237 Queen St. E. in the Beach has also planned a special three-course meal for two for the occasion and will have a DJ playing romantic music from Feb. 10 to Valentine’s Day.

Oysters are of course a perfect treat for Valentine’s Day. They can be found at Oyster Mine at 2035 Yonge St. north of Davisville Avenue.
