Executive chef and owner Claudio Aprile is set to open Origin North in the former Sierra Grill at Bayview Village shopping centre this fall. Aprile, who is also behind Colborne Lane and is known for his innovative and creative dishes, is in the process of opening another Origin in Liberty Village.

Just in time for summer, Yogurty’s has brought their 100 plus flavours of self-serve frozen yogurt to North York. Those who made it to the grand opening celebrations on June 2 and 3 were treated to complimentary frozen yogurt, which can be topped off with a range of fruit, cookies and nuts.

A new 24-hour Korean restaurant has opened at Yonge and Finch. Kayagum, which takes its name from a traditional Korean string instrument, serves up Korean, Japanese and BBQ dishes like sushi rolls, beef dolsot bibimbap and bossam.

In June, Yorkdale Shopping Centre unveiled its new food court and patio, Dine on 3, which reduces waste by 85 percent with reusable plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery and also accepts reservations. The delectable options include Chipotle Mexican Grill, SU&SHI Noodle Bar, Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria, La Paloma and gourmet grilled cheese joint Glow Press.

After 28 years in North York, Bistro on Avenue is on the hunt for a new location. Over the coming year owner Louis Nemes will accept relocation suggestions [url=http://www.thebistros.ca]online[/url] or in the restaurant. The winner of the contest will receive a daily chicken wing dinner for a year.
