Bye bye Bussin

[attach]2592[/attach]One of the most exciting ward races in this year’s municipal election has come to an end, with Mary-Margaret McMahon winning with a huge majority.

After defeating incumbent councillor Sandra Bussin by almost 10,000 votes, McMahon said she is looking forward to representing the Beach for the next four years.

“I’m looking forward to working with the people in Ward 32,” she said. “I really enjoyed meeting everyone during the campaign.”

Change was in the air this time around with issues including the Boardwalk Pub 20 year lease, Ashbridges Bay TTC yard, and multiple libel lawsuits dogging Bussin and dominated the debates.

McMahon was speechless and said she didn’t expect results so quickly. As for her first order of business?

“Celebrate,” she said, laughing. “I’m just in a daze.”
