Charges dropped against suspect in Annex shooting

Charges have been withdrawn for one of the two men wanted in the July 25 fatal shooting of Sebastian Herrera in an Annex laneway.

Last night Jeffrey Larsen surrendered at 14 Division hours after police released photos of the two suspects.

After interviewing Larsen and further investigation police withdrew the charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder.

The other suspect, Marvin Jarrett, 22, is still wanted for first-degree murder and attempted murder.

Herrera was robbed and shot in a laneway located between Brunswick Ave. and Major St. while having a cigarette with his girlfriend in the early morning hours of July 25.

The couple were in the midst of returning to a Bloor St. bar when they were confronted by a man who emerged from a car, police say.
