Classes cancelled at Oakwood CI
Crews working to fix power outage
A power outage has left Oakwood Collegiate Institute without heat or hydro and has forced the St. Clair Avenue high school to close for the day.
School activities are cancelled for students and staff as the Toronto District School Board works with Toronto Hydro to fix the issue.
The board said on its website it expects the school to reopen tomorrow.
This makes for an extra long weekend for Oakwood CI students. Classes were cancelled on Friday for a Professional Activity day, while schools were closed Monday for Family Day, a statutory holiday.
