CrimeBeat: Robberies in midtown and Lawrence Manor

[attach]1836[/attach]Two teens were robbed by a trio of thugs in the Bathurst and Lawrence area on June 26.

Two youths, 13 and 14, reported to police that they were in the area around 8:30 p.m. when three men approached them. The men reportedly asked to use one of the youth’s cell phones, then brandished a knife and demanded the boy’s wallet. When he complied, the men fled the scene with a cell phone and cash. The youths were unharmed.

Midtown robbery

A 27-year-old man was robbed of his gold chain and handbag during a late-night mugging near Yonge and Eglinton on June 26.

The man told police he was in the area around 12:40 a.m. when two men came up to him. One individual grabbed him while the other searched his pockets. The pair reportedly grabbed the man’s handbag and white gold chain before fleeing south on Duplex Avenue. The man was not hurt.
