Elderly man killed on Avenue Road
Victim, 92, struck by vehicle, pronounced dead at scene
A 92-year-old man is dead after being struck by a car on Avenue Road last night.
Police say the man was crossing Avenue Road north of Felbrigg Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. when he was struck by a southbound 2014 Toyota Scion.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The 31-year-old male driver of the Toyota remained at the scene.
This is the 17th pedestrian fatality and the 29th total fatality on Toronto roads this year.
