Elderly woman dies after being hit by car
92-year-old is third pedestrian fatality in midtown Toronto in eight days
A 92-year-old woman has died two days after being hit by a car at Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue West.
The woman was struck by a turning Dodge Caravan on the afternoon of Dec. 2 as she attempted to cross Lawrence on the west side of Bathurst.
She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. She died Dec. 4.
This is the 62nd fatality on Toronto roads this year and was the third pedestrian death in midtown in eight days.
