Firearms and drugs seized in Bloor West
Three people in Bloor West Village are charged for 33 gun-related and drug offences.
On Dec. 1, police were warranted by courts to search a Beresford Avenue home where they found a large quantity of cocaine and a semi-automatic handgun.
Police reports say at the time when the police presented the warrant, a bag was thrown from a rear balcony of the home, in attempts to rid the evidence.
Coady Duhamel, 22, Wesley Sommers, 18, and Caitlin Sommers, 20, were arrested and charged with 10 of the same offences each and three more to Duhamel for breaking his probation orders.
All the accused appeared in court at Old City Hall on Wednesday, Dec. 1.
