Four more years for Monte Kwinter

Ontario’s oldest MPP looks like he’ll be back for another term.

As of 10:06 80-year-old Monte Kwinter is leading in York Centre with 48.4 percent of the vote over his Progressive Conservative rival Michael Mostyn who currently sits with 30.8 percent. The NDP’s John Fagan is a distant third with 15.2 percent.

Kwinter, who was first elected in 1985, saw his federal Liberal counterpart, Ken Dryden, go down to defeat in May to Conservative Mark Adler by a wide margin, but managed to avoid a similar fate himself.
