Full crowd at East York memorial
Jack Layton and Case Ootes are some of the political leaders who attended the East Toronto ceremony

On a sunny morning, the East York Civic Centre held their Remembrance day ceremony for the our Canadian veterans.
The memorial park hosted a full crowd on Nov. 11, with appearances from New Democratic Party leader and Toronto-Danforth MP Jack Layton, Toronto-Danforth MPP Peter Tabuns and city councillors Janet Davis of Ward 31 Beaches-East York and Case Ootes of Ward 29 Toronto-Danforth.

The ceremony included a two-minute silence for the fallen soldiers, laying of wreaths, singing of hymns and the attendance of brave veterans.
