Gunshots ring out during dispute

Gunshots that rang out near Eglinton Avenue and Mt. Pleasant Road were the result of an on-street dispute between two groups of men, say police.

Officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots in the area around 3 a.m. on July 24. According to police, two groups of men were in the Eglinton and Brownlow Avenue area when a dispute occurred.

One or more of the men discharged a firearm, police say.

Officers subsequently found five bullet holes at 240 Eglinton West, an office building just west of Mt. Pleasant.
